this is my life right now [02 Oct 2006|12:28am]
this is how it has to be
a kiss for luck, submerge myself
and in 7 weeks resurface
even if we don't look back again
tired boys with wired eyes
exposing imperfections
to the public eye we're perfect
even if we don't look back again

for you i'd wait 'til kingdom come
until my day, my day is done
and say you'll come, and set me free
just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me
in your tears and in your blood
in your fire and in your flood
i hear you laugh, i heard you sing
"i wouldn't change a single thing"

all that i am, all that i ever was
is here in your perfect eyes, they're all i can see
i don't know where, confused about how as well
just know that these things will never change for us at all
if i lay here, if i just lay here
would you lie with me and just forget the world?

you're kinda cute, baby are you new in town?
my name is tim, aka thomas crown
i heard you're lost, do you know your way around
if you gotta problem baby i can hold ya down
i can be your navigator or your compass
better yet a genie baby make your first wish
you the party baby, i'm just the guest list
i think i need some tylenol, you got me restless.

now autumn brings the beautiful things
where all you give comes back to you like the crown upon my king
your life's a song, so sing a long
before the silence swallows you and leaves you like a pawn
watch angels in the morning become a devil's afternoon
i will panic in the evening underneath the crashing moon.
so fall in love while you can still hold your head up high
and pretend that you're alive again
it's friends that leave you here in the end, so hold your head up high
and pretend that you're alive.

` oh it's a picture of perfection - ah, and the postcard's gonna read: fuck yeah, we can live like this...we can live like this `

i basically cruised through june without so much as thinking about livejournal. this summer is so different from last summer. there are aspects i do like and aspects i don't like. the don'ts are basically that i work full time so that means i don't really get to see my friends all that much, except on weekends. the do's are good. the hangs are great, been doing a little partying which is also fun. reconnecting with old friendships, maintaining the usuals, and making new ones are all going down and are all great. don't have to worry about avoiding people who don't matter and although work is time consuming, time is money and at least that is a good thing for once.

i wish that some people could see themselves for what they truly are. you aren't as smart, mysterious or thrilling as you think you are. your attempts at ambiguity are actually extremely ironic - they are crystal clear in the fact that they paint you for who you truly are. you wonder why things turn out the way they do - if you could watch yourself from an outsiders perspective, you would know. stop living in the past because no one is holding your spot in the present - before you know it, it will be gone and you will have missed it.

it's weird how different my life is between school and home. it's weird how different my friends are and my lifestyle, and how i balance the two. as much as i miss the southern crew and i do want to get back down there, i am also sad to think that the summer is half over. it'll be good to back down there though, especially since mccauley is (hopefully) working on the apartment situation. as fun as last year was, it wasn't really 'college fun' except for a few choice nights and i just hope this year is different in that aspect.

we're always happy, life's for living, yeah that's our philosophy. )

question of the day: what has been your favorite part of summer so far, or your favorite event that has taken place? what are you looking forward to for the remainder of the summer?

I hate how judging people is so difficult. How do you know when to trust someone? Isn't trust often misplaced, and can't trust be taken advantage of incredibly easily? I hate how one minute you can like someone and the next minute you can hate them. Sometimes when you need common sense the most, it abandons you - these are the times when you need to sit back and hope for the best whether you are doing the right and wrong thing. Sometimes you need to do things just for the experience, whether they are right or wrong - because in the end, you learn a lesson from everything.

St Patrick's Day was not what it normally is. In past years it has involved boiled dinners, my family, and watching the bars in Boston going absolutely nuts. This year it involved friends, clubs, being surrounded by green beer, and spending the night with a guy from Graham.

I'm having some real trouble figuring myself out lately. I get in these moods sometimes and I hate that. I feel like life has either been moving too slow or too fast and I can't figure out which one it is, which doesn't really make sense. I don't even know exactly where my morals lie, what my values are, and why I have the inability to say a simple two letter word. I'm surprising myself lately. I feel like I want to cry but I've lost the ability. I'm indecisive, I'm easily pressured, and I find it easier to do things to make others happy rather than myself. I feel like I am constantly in conflict with myself and I find it almost impossible to communicate my feelings to other people.

Life is too short for this.

let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Nothing much has been going on around these parts lately. Aside from extreme laziness and procrasitination, days filled with friends, food, naps, and dicking around. All my friends left me this weekend - all except Rachel :) She did leave me last night though. It was a lonely night but actually really chill and it was nice to sleep alone in a room for the first time in months, you know?

The biggest thing that has happened is pretty much that it snowed a good amount last night. Tonight after Rachel and I binged on Chinese food and watched "Crossroads" (yes, that's right, the Britney Spears movie), we ventured out into the snow. Aside from thinking I had frostbite all over my body and losing my phone in the snow somewhere, it was very fun. Especially rolling down the almost-vertical hill behind our dorm.

Spring Break is in 11 days and could not come sooner. New York, New York!

And I'm just a waste of energy and he's just wasting my time, so why don't we get together and we could waste everything tonight )

i've watched this three times since yesterday...

Well, it's been quite the eventful day. Blake, Shanna, Whitney and I drove to Gallatin for Shanna's highschool's homecoming. Her school is tiny and it was real cute, we met some of her friends and watched the homecoming king and queen get crowned, then went out to dinner. I had my first real Southern barbeque, it was really good, the place we ate at was SO very hick, in a good way. We also went and saw Johnny Cash's house which I guess one of the Bee Gees lives in now.

We came back and Blake, Shanna and I watched Man In The Iron Mask in Shanna's room...then McCauley came in crying so we left.

Turns out she was really, really sick. Her head was killing her, she wouldn't stop crying and moaning and after she threw up three times we ended up taking her to ER. Blake and I sat in the waiting room while Whitney and McCauley stayed with her. They did a CAT scan and drugged her up and after almost two hours we got to go home, and she's fine, thank god.

Other than that, I basically just cannot wait for Spring Break to see my loves.

your two favorite shitheads...

are buying a house this summer for everyone's enjoyment. it's going to be party PAHTY CENTRAL. it's a little house between braintree and weymouth called "MY DICK" because that is where the party is at.

basically BYOBAWOSYD (Bring Your Own Beer And Whatever Other Shit You Drink) because we only serve rum and coke all night every night.

and i neevvvvvverrrrr get drunk so don't worry about it. even when it's my first time drinking on an empty stomach and i've had like 4 beers 6 rum and cokes 12 jungle juices and 60 smirnoffs. even when i am rolling around in a bin of dirty clothes, climbing in a washing machine and climbing on jenna's back telling her i'm a baby koala. even when i am on my hands and knees cleaning "tadpoles" off the floor i am convinced i dragged in from the outdoor shower. NOPE. NEVER DRUNK.

jenna will be in the back room telling stories of the new york city tree lighting if you would like to hear about it!

all you have to do to join the PAHTY is:

1. find the house.
2. be on the guestlist
3. pay the $600 cover fee (we need to pay rent!)

see you there! pahty central @ "MY DICK" all summer long!!

SNOW @ BELMONT !!!

I haven't made any legit updates in awhile. Winterbreak ended with a bang, a bang that we like to call Cheese Hunt '06. You see, Krista Jenna PK and I were sitting in th NDA parking lot talking when the subject turned to cheese. This led to us craving cheese, but being as it was nearly midnight we had to find this sketchy 24 hour convenience store and we ran in asking for cheese....the cashier was hott for us. He gave Krista a discount.

Got back to Nashville and was welcomed with open arms. I missed everyone here. But now I miss everyone at home. It's like a Catch-22 I suppose. Anyway, it snowed the other night which is really rare! But that is about all that is going on, we're planning our weekend which should be interested.

I got locked out of my room for three hours today but I just dicked around solo in Caitlin's room and then went down to the lobby and watched Celebrity Poker Showdown for awhile. :)

I'm a bitch.
And I love it. :)
It's not quite as cool being a bitch without my partner in crime.
But I still love it.

THE END.

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!

Went to the Christmas Eve party last night without my brother because he had to work. We didn't stay wrong because none of us really wanted to go in the first place. I got a book, money and iTunes gift card. I fell asleep almost as soon as we got home and was woken up at 1AM by my very drunk brother slamming doors and yelling at my mom. Sweeeeeet. Nothing says Christmas like that.

Got the Christmas wake up call at 1030AM to open presents. We opened presents without my brother because him and my mom were still not getting along. I got certificates galore (Starbucks, Panera, iTunes, Dunkies), candy, books, clothes, a sweet new jacket, and a bunch of other stuff. What I am really excited about is my new camera. A Kodak Z740. It's pretty dope. My family came over here and it was pretty chill, most of them passed the time playing the golf tee game my dad got, it's pretty ridic. Dinner was....I don't like roast beef. And then I fell asleep between the waves of families and hid in my room while my dad's side was here.
